Lairson Electronics 90s

how it all started

In his 20s, Sam Lairson took a keen interest in car stereo systems, and sought out a mentor – Stuart Cline of Pennsville, NJ. As his interest grew, so did his skill set, as he learned to adeptly install car alarm and stereo systems.

Sam enlisted the help of his younger brother, Lou, who was already his business partners at their restaurant, Carmelo’s. After working out of their garage, the two began the search for the perfect location for their next business venture and found a central spot on Carl’s Corner in 1989 – where the shop remains to this day.

Soon, the two brothers were working side-by-side, honing their skills, as their youngest brother, Chris, became a partner, taking on more responsibility at Carmelo’s.

learning & changing

With more time to spend at Lairson Electronics, Sam and Lou expanded their offerings. Over the years, they became authorized Nextel dealers and proudly supplied the workers at Ground Zero with two way radio phones, eager to do their small part in helping the nation come together in the face of such a tragedy.

From selling beepers and installing the first in car navigations systems, from becoming authorized Sprint dealers after the Nextel Sprint merger to crafting truly custom audio systems. we’ve continued to grow and adapt our offerings to meet the needs of the community we love, and we’re always seeking out continued education and training to provide the best service possible.

Everything we do at Lairson Electronics is in loving memory of our father, Samuel Lairson, who always backed our dreams and taught us how to work hard through his steadfast example.
